On June 15, Indiana officials will begin a broad advertising campaign to continue to build awareness of the new Healthy Indiana Plan or “HIP 2.0” – targeting the hundreds of thousands of Hoosiers who qualify for the plan. Agency leaders such as Dr. Wernert and other state officials have participated in more than 60 events across the state since HIP 2.0 was launched in January. “Our team eagerly met the challenge to implement HIP 2.0 immediately,” said John. J. Wernert, M.D., FSSA secretary. “Now that the initial influx of new members has been processed, it’s time to enter the next phase of our outreach efforts to continue to build awareness.”

-- State Launches HIP 2.0 Ad Campaign Aimed at Helping More Hoosiers Take Charge of Their Health Healthy Indiana Plan starts strong; officials work to build more awareness of new Medicaid reform program Indianapolis – Starting Monday, Indiana officials will blanket the state with an broad advertising campaign to build awareness of the new Healthy Indiana Plan or “HIP 2.0” – targeting the hundreds of thousands of Hoosiers who qualify for the plan.
INARF member Janus Developmental Services (Janus) is celebrating two exciting announcements for its Hamilton County Express (HCE) Public Transit: a new Director of Transportation and a grant award! Janus recently welcomed Christy Campoll as its new Director of Transportation. Campoll brings experience managing contracted bus service for a private motor coach company and facilitating regional coordination among transportation providers for the Central Indiana Regional Transportation Authority.
INARF member LOGAN Community Resources, Inc. (LOGAN) is leasing space in Logansport, IN to open its fourth autism learning center on September 1. LOGAN was approached several months ago to assist in addressing the lack of resources for families with children on the autism spectrum. “The schools do a nice job ... but that’s during the school time. The families need support during the summer ... on the weekends and in the evenings,” said Cinda Milan, a former supervisor with a school-based special education resource and local advocate. “It really does take a village to help with this. If everybody’s working together doing that, then we can make a difference.
The National Council on Aging (NCOA) is helping to shine a spotlight on elder abuse, as June 15 marks World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. Help raise awareness about the signs of elder abuse and how to combat this hidden tragedy that impacts approximately 1 in 10 Americans aged 60+.
