In a bulletin released earlier today, the Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services (DDRS) announced the availability of the Family and Social Services Administration's (FSSA) Full Statewide Transition Plan. In addition to the Family Supports and Community Integration and HabilitationWaiver Transition Plans released last week, the Statewide Plan contains information on Medicaid Waivers administered by the Division of Aging and the Division of Mental Health and Addiction.
The Indiana Protection and Advocacy Services (IPAS) is asking for public feedback to assist in determining which areas should be priorities for the upcoming year. To assist with this effort, a survey has been developed to identify critical barriers in five critical categories.
On October 28 at the Muncie Horizon Convention Center, the country’s first training institute and teaching hotel for people with disabilities broke ground. The Arc welcomed almost 300 people to bear witness to this achievement. The project is expected to open in October 2015.
Disability Solutions is looking for business leaders, Human Resources Professionals, Hiring Managers, Diversity and Inclusion Leaders, and EEO/Compliance Leaders representing large employers to participate in a survey: Identifying Gaps and Opportunities in Hiring Qualified Jobseekers with Disabilities. The results will be used to identify and quantify gaps and opportunities present in U.S. companies related to hiring and retaining talented workers with disabilities.
