Throughout this process, the Division has built in opportunities to hear from various stakeholders to ensure our redesign priorities and efforts align with the desires and needs of individuals with intellectual disabilities who may access our services.
The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced a FY 2019 Mainstream Voucher Program funding opportunity for public housing authorities (non-profits that already administer mainstream voucher assistance are considered public housing authorities for this funding opportunity).
As part of this funding opportunity, HUD will provide additional points to public housing agencies that target funds to assist non-elderly persons with disabilities who are transitioning out of an institutional setting, at serious risk of institutionalization, experiencing homelessness or at serious risk of experiencing homelessness. Additionally, HUD will provide additional points to PHAs that "formalize partnerships with and leverage resources from State Medicaid Agencies and various health and human services partner agencies."
