Earlier this week, the Bureau of Rehabilitation Services (BRS) announced an update to the Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) employment service model based on feedback from stakeholders. BRS has now increased the edit limit for the service ‘Other/Miscellaneous Discovery’ from 20 hours to 50 hours. In addition, BRS has posted two completed sample discovery profiles on the VR Employment services webpage.

The workshop will be held on Friday, January 15 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
The INARF PAC is pleased to announce that it raised $16,148 in 2015 from contributions made by 4 organizations and more than 110 individuals. The PAC Board would like to thank every INARF member who made the decision to support the PAC. All contributions, whether they are $2 at a Quarterly Professional Interest Section meeting or hundreds in corporate contributions, make a difference by furthering the influence and advocacy efforts of INARF members.
As reported by The Atlantic, individuals with disabilities experience significant challenges when searching for affordable and accessible rental housing. According to a report released by Harvard in December, over 7 million American rental households have a member with a disability. Nevertheless, the supply of housing equipped for individuals with disabilities is scarce.
The 2016 Indiana General Assembly convenes for a short session this afternoon. Since bill filing began in December, over 170 bills have been introduced. INARF and our consultants are tracking several bills related to our legislative agenda.
