The eighth week of the Indiana General Assembly session is in full swing. It is deadline week in both the House and the Senate. Bills that have not passed both chambers by the end of the week will be considered dead for the 2016 session. Bills which passed in different versions in the Senate and House will now be eligible for Conference Committees.

The Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services published updated guidance on Wellness Coordination Service Definition and Standards earlier today. The updates are effective 03/01/16 and replace prior guidance documents.
Earlier today, Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) announced that Melanie Brizzi is leaving the agency after serving seven years as the director of the Office of Early Childhood and Out-of-School Learning (OESCOSL). Ms. Brizzi is moving into a new role as the director of Child Care Services with Child Care Aware of America. In announcing her departure, FSSA noted that Ms. Brizzi has been instrumental in leading OECOSL in making numerous improvements to the state’s child care and early education system, including the implementation of Indiana's quality rating and improvement system, Paths to QUALITY and Indiana's state funded pre-K efforts, On My Way Pre-K and the Early Education Matching Grants. Her last day with FSSA is March 4, 2016.
