The Regions’ “What a Difference a Day Makes” Contest has returned for a second year and INARF member Easter Seals Crossroads is in the running! The contest is an opportunity to raise awareness and resources for nonprofits, which work to better the communities they serve. As a way to honor the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), many of this year’s nominees are organizations working with people with disabilities.
The Institute on Disability at the University of New Hampshire (UNH), in partnership with the Kessler Foundation, has conducted the 2015 National Employment and Disability Survey focused on employment issues for working age adults with disabilities. In preparation of the ADA’s upcoming 25th anniversary, the Kessler Foundation is extending an invitation to hear panelists discuss the Kessler Foundation National Employment and Disability Survey on June 3.
Earlier today, the Arc of Indiana announced that effective July 1, 2015, John Dickerson will be stepping down as Executive Director. Dickerson will continue his long time connection with The Arc through a part-time, contract position as a consultant for the next several months while also beginning to develop a new direction for his advocacy. He has been Executive Director of The Arc of Indiana since 1983.
